SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

Tingley Rubber Corporation is an ISO 9001 certified company located in Piscataway NJ. We source and sell protective footwear and clothing. Since 1896 we have supplied quality products for retail and industrial customers. It’s 117 years later and our principles are the same – giving our customers outstanding service and a quality product at a competitive price.  

We are recruiting for a proven Supply Chain Manager to manage our suppliers of goods and services in accordance with company policies, ISO objectives, and customer expectations. This position is based in our Piscataway, NJ office.   

 

Travel – 15-20% (domestic & international)

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Contact and visit domestic and international suppliers to source new products, identify alternate suppliers, and ensure adherence to contractual agreements and ISO supplier performance requirements
  • Negotiate price, terms and conditions, service, and delivery requirements through strong supplier selection process, technical evaluation, and cost/price analysis
  • Direct and coordinate contract manufacturing, transportation, warehouse, and distribution functions to ensure that products and services meet quality, cost, and schedule objectives
  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop departmental staff
  •  Through departmental staff, direct, supervise, and coordinate efforts of representative office operations
  • Assist and coordinate supply chain requirements of foreign manufacturing operation
  • Oversee inventory control of raw materials and finished goods
  • Participate in cross-functional teams
  • Prepares departmental budget

 

What You Need

  • 15+ years demonstrated experience in supply chain management and operations management, including minimum 5 years international sourcing and contract negotiation experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or business administration preferred
  • Proven management experience with ability to lead and motivate
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to think and operate at both strategic and tactical levels
  • Ability to manage complex projects and achieve deliverables
  • Windows and MS Office proficient

 

 

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

You will be responsible for supporting the efforts of sales and marketing through a variety of customer service activities, including:

  •  Answering incoming customer calls and inquiries regarding product information, order status, delivery, discounts, inventory, backorders, returns, and programs
  •  Responding to customer emails and processing EDI orders
  •  Investigating shipping and invoicing discrepancies and completing necessary documentation for continuous improvement
  •  Reviewing and resolving issues regarding orders on hold
  •  Maintaining customer records within company’s business operations system
  •  Issuing return goods authorizations
  •  Registering web-users and emailing B2B introduction letter

 

What You Need

  •  4+ years proven customer service experience
  •  Associate’s degree preferred
  •  Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and follow-up skills
  •  Professional communication skills and ability to multi-task
  •  Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  •  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
