We are recruiting for a proven sales professional to join us for a challenging and rewarding position as a District Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will be based in the Boston Metro area, but surrounding areas will considered. Using your demonstrated sales experience you will service established accounts, solicit new business and implement our sales strategies in NY City, Long Island, Eastern NY, CT, RI, MA, NH, ME, VT.


Key Responsibilities

Making sales calls on distributors, end users, buying groups, chains and retail cooperatives

Conducting sales meetings with distributor management and sales people to introduce and provide training on product line and programs

Conducting joint sales calls and work trips with distributor sales people to penetrate end-user and dealer business

Following up on sales leads from publications, database subscriptions, trades shows, and website

Maintaining current contact management database and utilizing database as basis for call reports and territory management

Assisting in market test programs or products

Attending trade shows as required


What You Need

Bachelor’s degree in business preferred

Minimum 5 years experience in outside sales with an emphasis in selling to retail or industrial markets

Strong knowledge of industrial and consumer markets, distributors, dealers, chain accounts and industrial end users

Experience in industrial safety or safety distribution preferred

Outgoing individual with strong presentation, organizational and communication skills

Skills in planning account and territory strategies to achieve specific sales growth objectives

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales reporting tools (ACT, Salesforce)

Must possess valid driver’s license.

Overnight travel from your home based office about 30 - 40%.

Reporting to our Senior Product Manager, we are recruiting for a proven Associate Product Manager to assist in marketing plan execution, management of the product life cycle and to collect and translate market needs into requirements to meet sales and market objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Conducting market research and analyzing findings to identify new markets and opportunities for new products and product enhancements

Assisting in the specification, development and introduction of new products and product enhancements

Assisting in the development of collateral and promotional materials for new and existing products including catalogues, product sheets, brochures, point-of-purchase, packaging, videos, and website updates

Analyzing and tracking existing product sales and performance against history and budget to report on opportunities and threats

Monitoring and providing feedback regarding competitive performance and weaknesses, customer feedback and customer satisfaction

Assisting in the development and delivery of training programs for sales, customer service and external parties

Providing marketing support to Supply Chain on product production and quality issues

Participating in trade show planning and execution as well as attending and staffing trade shows

Providing product information and support to sales, customer service and customers


What You Need

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration or marketing

Minimum 2 years’ experience in product marketing or marketing communications

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong emphasis on Excel

Excellent organization, verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work on cross-functional teams

Ability to engage in business travel 15-20%
