For practicality and comfort, I wear nicely-polished hiking shoes, with special orthotics, for almost every occasion (even church attendance). When ACTUALLY hiking in muddy/snowy dirt, or when shoveling snow, I need to protect the hiking shoes (size 11, double-wide) with their thick, rugged soles (that is, keep them clean from the elements out there, so I can wear them inside). This Tingley boot, in its XX-large size, does this job and fits perfectly! I love how it easily slips off later, with no hands needed (just step on the rubber tab in back and pull your foot out). Whether hiking or shoveling snow on a slippery surface, this Tingley boot is like a plush snow tire -- it allows a great grip that prevents a slip/fall. Usage tip: Periodically clean out the inside with Armor All Original Car Protectant (normally used to clean/shine rubber tires) -- it makes it easier to slide your shoed foot in and out.

I work at a water bottling company and I am seemingly always walking in water when the bottles fall over and spill and I usually wear them when I go to the junkyard with scrap metals

I bought my husband a pair of these overshoes 20 years ago. They finely wore a hole in the bottom of one of them. I still have the original paper work on the first pair. So I went on line and purchased him another pair. Hope these last as long as the first pair. He doesn't wear these all the time, just when we have snow or rain in abundance and he uses the 4 wheeler and snow shovel to remove the snow. This year lots of snow!
